The Okinawan Karate Club of Madison practices traditional Okinawan Shorin Ryu karate as taught by Eizo Shimabukuro O'Sensei and Okinawan Shudokan karate as taught by the late Walter Todd Sensei. Our training emphasizes practical karate suitable for life protection and self development.

Andrew de Laix Sensei holds the rank of Shodan in the Shobayashi Ryu and Shudokan styles of karate. He is committed to teaching karate in the Okinawan tradition as a life-preserving art.
